ACSS 273 Tuesday 12/11/19

Hi Everyone,

The Australian Country Songwriters Show will be back on air this week on Tuesday 12/11/19. Our two-night-per-week format is over for the time being, and as such, we’ll unfortunately have to make some drastic cutbacks to the play list.

We have new (to the show) music this week from Brendan McMahon; Brittany Elise; Kora Naughton; Souly Us; Lloyd Back; Renee Jonas; and Vanessa Bourne.

The Top 10 Most Requested songs for this week are 1. Mark Fitzsummons, Southern; 5. The Silverline Duo, Let The Rain Fall; 3. Lucy Pace, Twang It Like Yoakam; 4. Watling & Bates, Boots Beside The Bed; 5. Emma Dykes, The Riddle Of Life; 6. Michael Waugh, Big Things; 7. Emma Jene, Boy Meets Girl; 8. Glenn Bidmead, Lifeblood; 9. Mat Black, I Can’t Get You Off My Mind; and 10. Hayley Marsten, Red Wine White Dress.

Our Featured Artist, Brendan McMahon, has a new album out called In The Moment, and we’ll be playing three tracks from the album, in the second hour of the show.

Our Flashback Track from the show’s 2017 play list will be from Heath Watts; our Featured Instrumental Track will be from Robbie Bostock; and our Featured International Artist will be NZ country singer, Aly Cook.

Our Emerging Talent segment will feature songs by Brittany Elise; Kora Naughton; and Juliet Oliver.

Our Country Ballads segment will feature songs by The Water Runners; Runaway Dixie; and David Croser.

So, the Play List will be:

First Hour: Hayley Marsten; Mat Black; Glenn Bidmead; Emma Jene; Michael Waugh; Emma Dykes; Watling & Bates; Lucy Pace; The Silverline Duo; Mark Fitzsummons; Melanie Gray; Ian Burns; John & Jason Greenwood; and Renee Jonas.
